Online Dating be it generic happy boy meets girl, falls in love kind of stuff is really growing in the UK and also in many overseas markets, adult dating and various niche services are also springing up, for example dating for the over fifties, religious and armed forces dating.

However for years the dating industry has been blighted by a stigma that at times has been so bad that members almost feel guilty over joining a dating web site. There is like a perception that you must be a little sad or inept if you can’t find a date the old fashioned way.

Though really, what is so good about the old fashioned way, going to a bar or club where there are more guys than women (or vice versa.) Nights out like that can have a pretty poor score rate and be pretty expensive to go with it.

To me it seems logical that a computer program or application which is essentially what a dating web site is will always do a better job of connecting you with people. Sure you need the site to have plenty of ‘real’ members and be fresh and uptodate with modern tools and technology. More >
