We typically find that the husband is viewed as the king of the cheating world. But doesn’t it take two to tango? There are plenty of wives out there that aren’t receiving the attention they need or deserve, sending them searching for enlightenment on the path to promiscuity.

Of course while these same women could very well still love their husbands, they sometimes need more attention than what a safe and stable relationship can provide.

Much like husbands, married wives often seek the desire and thrill of the sexual hunt, the excitement, the danger, the anticipation that an affair elicits, just as much as the actual physical intimacy or sexual acts. It is typically a combination of all these aspects that exhilarate lovers and builds anticipation for their liaisons.

These feelings can act almost like a drug, heightening desire and enhancing the total relationship experience. While this aspect of a wife’s affair can fuel the fires of intense passion, it can also be the downfall of the affair.

This ‘love drug’ can cloud the mind to the risks involved in having an extramarital relationship. This isn’t to say that an affair should be avoided; it simply means that the parties must proceed with tempered caution and practice discretion in order to protect all those involved either directly or indirectly.

The unfortunate side of a cheating wife is the negative connotation associated with the role. When a husband cheats, the act is often viewed as a minor indiscretion or that the sex was a result of being seduced, but a cheating wife is often considered a slut or worse.

The view is unfair and frankly, insulting. Although the pros and cons of cheating aren’t being debated, both sides should receive an even playing field when it comes to having marital affairs. If wives can manage to look the other way or ‘work through’ a love affair; then men or the hubby should be expected to do the same.
